About Western Region
The Western Region is one of the three key regions in which the Union des Églises Baptistes au Rwanda, with its headquarters located at Gisenyi Local Church in Rubavu District, specifically in Gisenyi Sector, Umuganda Cell, Muhato Village.
This vibrant region encompasses four parishes: Gisenyi, Gasumo, Ruheru, and Kabuga. Within these parishes, there are 19 local churches that serve as vital centers of faith and community engagement, including Gisenyi, Kanama, Ruhengeri, Bweyeye, Bugarama, Gasumo, Karambi, Rwankeri, Nyakabingo, Gatebe, Cyato, Biguzi, Ruheru, Karambi, Birenga, Kivuruga, Muramba, Rwankuba, and Kabuga.
These parishes and local churches play an essential role in fostering spiritual growth and community solidarity. They provide various programs and services designed to uplift individuals and meet the diverse needs of their congregants. The Western Region exemplifies UEBR’s commitment to spreading the Gospel and creating a nurturing environment for both spiritual and social development within the community.
