About Eastern Region
The Eastern Region is one of the three key regions in which the Union of Baptist Churches of Rwanda operates, with its headquarters situated at Kibungo Local Church in Ngoma District, specifically in Ngoma Sector, Cyasemakamba Cell, Kiruhura Village.
This dynamic region comprises six parishes: Kibungo, Rwagitima, Mukoma, Ruhuha, Nyakayaga, and Kigali. Within these parishes, there are 22 local churches that serve as essential centers of faith and community, including Kibungo, Mushikiri, Kiyanzi, Humure Jarama, Rwagitima, Gituza, Rwimiyaga, Gatsibo, Ngarama Mukoma, Gikoma, Ruhango, Matara, Ruhuha, Ngenda, Twimpala, Nyakayaga, Rebero, Dihiro, Gaseke, and Kigali.
Together, these parishes and local churches play a vital role in nurturing spiritual growth and unity among their congregants. They offer a range of programs and services aimed at empowering individuals and addressing community needs. The Eastern Region exemplifies UEBR’s dedication to advancing the Gospel and fostering a supportive environment for both spiritual and social development.
